Nick Dooley, Managing Director for Locken UK, gives the lowdown on the company’s new CyberKey Vault 20S:
“This new convenient and multi-functional device meets the needs of many single- and multi-sites companies. It allows at the same time to program, issue and protect Locken smart keys all in one place and to assign access rights in real time.
”This leads to improved smart key management and security and consequently to increased efficiency.”
From a practical point of view, the keys retained in the Vault 20S remain unprogrammed until an authorized user presents an approved PIN or RFID device to the vault: the Vault’s internal server will then program a key with the specified permissions.
Once the user has returned the key to the cabinet, it also charges the key battery and downloads the audit trail from the key memory.
The CyberKey® Vault 20S is a component of the Locken access control solution, which includes programmable smart keys, cable/battery free electronic cylinders and a dedicated software to manage access and provide security to all locking points.
