Maker of padlocks Abloy is inviting visitors to IFSEC 2017 to check out the firm’s range of locks and attend its seminar on using physical security and technology for mitigating risk.
Abloy will be at stand C1560 at the show, on 20-22 June 2017 at ExCeL London. The stand is within a new section of the show this year, in the Borders & Infrastructure area of the exhibition.
Steve Wintle, critical national infrastructure head at Abloy UK, says: “With such an industry focus on cyber security risks, there is often the potential to overlook, or underestimate elements of physical security. However the ability to be able to lockdown a building in the event of an emergency such as a terror attack is crucial.”
Wintle will be hosting the seminar at the Borders & Infrastructure Theatre on Wednesday 21 June.
Abloy’s market segments include energy, transport, airports, ports, communications, banking and critical national infrastructure.
Abloy UK’s complete, compliant locking solutions adhere to current British Standards, including EN13637 Building Hardware (electrically controlled exit systems for use on escape routes); EN179 Emergency Escape (for when the building occupants are aware of the building environment); and EN1125 Panic Escape (for environments used by the general public).
The West Midland’s-based company develops padlocks, strikes, and motorised and electric locking products.
The PROTEC2 CLIQ web-based system from Abloy has been commercialised in several sectors. Allowing for the integration of a mechanical master key system with electronics that require no external power source, it provides precise control over access permissions.
