FT ranks Paxton as one of Europe’s fastest growing companies

Paxton CEO Adam Stroud

UK-headquartered provider of electronic IP access control and door entry systems Paxton Group has been ranked in the FT1000, the Financial Times’ compilation of Europe’s fastest growing companies.

The league table, which the FT publishes with Statista, lists the thousand firms in Europe that have gained the highest percentage growth in revenues between 2012 and 2015.

Paxton was established in 1985 by Tony Ratcliffe, who is the company’s chairman. The firm, which is headquartered in Brighton in East Sussex, employs over 300 people. The business includes international sales offices. Paxton makes all its products locally at its factory in Eastbourne, also in East Sussex, and exports to over 60 countries.

“Over our 32-year history, we have grown from a small Sussex-based company into a truly global business.” Paxton CEO Adam Stroud

Growth plans include a turnover goal of £100 million by 2020. This summer Paxton plans to open a 29,000 sq ft. technology centre alongside the head office, as part of investment in product innovation and development.

Adam Stroud, CEO of Paxton, says: “Over our 32-year history, we have grown from a small Sussex-based company into a truly global business. We continue to enjoy significant international expansion which last year, included our move into Scandinavia, supplementing our existing European operations in Benelux, Germany and France.”

Paxton invests in the free training and education of its global installer base. The company’s products are adapted to cater for the regional differences in different global economies. However they are designed with simplicity in mind to ensure easy installation, deployment and maintenance. All products sold are backed by the company’s local technical support and five-year guarantee.
