Panasonic has announced an OEM agreement with Scandinavian company Bravida Fire & Security to provide access control in the European market.
In a press conference this morning, Masaki Arizono, President of Panasonic System Communications Company Europe (PSCEU) and Sven Klockare, executive director of Bravida Fire & Security signed a contract confirming the partnership.
Arizono highlighted that 70% of Panasonic’s global business comes from B2B transactions and that partnering with Bravida will help them “provide better services and solutions for the customer”.
“We have a strong portfolio of security solutions and it is undoubtedly stronger in this partnership,” Arizono said.
Bravida Fire & Security is Scandinavia’s leading provider of integrated engineering installation and service. The alliance means that Panasonic will enter the European market for access control, extending its security product portfolio.
Klockare said: “We are happy to be able to provide Panasonic strategic partnership in Europe and to supply products for them in Scandinavia.”
Panasonic also announced the launch of four new product series and 10 new products in the conference. Sean Taylor, European Marketing Manager at Panasonic, introduced products including new 3-series fixed dome cameras and 6-series fixed network cameras. Taylor also introduced new image processing technologies, including fog and rain compensation software that improves video quality in bad weather.
“I’m very excited about the new six series camera as it will be one of our flagship cameras in terms of image quality and capability, but the MV300 recorder is quite well priced in the market place, but has very strong capability,” Taylor said.
Panasonic launched their new human-detecting security service, CLVR, at 4pm today.
