Whitepaper: Multi-residential access management – The move to digital

installation training

Paxton breaks new global record for installer training

Paxton has again broken its record for the number of installers trained globally in the first quarter of the year.

The manufacturer of building intelligence systems and IP access control has already trained 2,000 installers in the first quarter of 2019.

In 2018, Paxton saw a 10% increase of trained installers from 2017. It trained 4,200 installers from almost 2,000 companies in the UK alone, and 5,000 more in Europe.

In 2019, it is aiming to reach a 14% year on year increase of trained installers from 2018. Its aim is to reach 10,000 by the end of the year.

“We’re excited that record numbers of installers worldwide are now able to fit Paxton products to high standards,” said Paxton’s global training manager, Steve Woodbridge. “Training really allows installers to get to know Paxton’s systems and keep up to date with our latest product releases, which benefits both the installers and us.

“Nine out of 10 trained installers go on to regularly install Paxton products.” Paxton global training manager Steve Woodbridge

“We know that nine out of 10 trained installers go on to regularly install Paxton products. This validates our belief that trained installers are confident fitting Paxton products and will choose them again and again for their customers. We can also be confident our products are being fitted to high standards which is key to an end-user’s experience.

“We have ambitions to expand our international footprint even further, which is why we’re striving to achieve the 10,000 installers trained milestone this year. We’re encouraged by such a strong first quarter and would like to thank those installers who’ve joined us so far.”

Launched in 2005, Paxton training workshops are delivered at Paxton offices, as well as out in the field.

One installer said the training was “fun, exciting and presented very well” while another enthused that it was the “best training in 10 years in the industry”. Other fulsome praise from attendees included: “Good insight into the software and how flexible the system is”, plus “Eecellent training. Very hands-on, brilliant course”.

Some of the global locations it reached in 2018 include:

  • The US, where it started training in 2017: 3,3000 installers were trained, which was a 62% increase on 2017
  • South Africa, where 390 installers were trained from 214 companies
  • Holland, where more than 500 installers were trained during two tours across nine locations at weekly in-house workshops in Breda
  • France, where 122 installers from 82 companies were trained
  • Germany, where 91 installers from 27 companies were trained
