Paxton’s Net2 platform now integrates with GEMOS PSIM from ela-soft

The Net2 access control solution will now integrate with German PSIM platform GEMOS from ela-soft, Paxton has announced.

Access control events logged by Net2 can now be viewed alongside other security applications on a single end-to-end user interface.

GEMOS, which boasts more than 750 existing applications,  layers the physical position of each alert and all system devices onto a site plan. The platform can handle alerts from more than 500,000 data points in a single installation and identify the precise location of each alarm.

Illumination in the exact area of concern can then be activated to aid the capture of CCTV images.  The Net2 integration will create within the PSIM (physical security information management) system an audit trail of access control events.

Launched in 2015, Net2 offers centralised administration and control of sites of various sizes, from one door to hundreds of doors and thousands of users. The platform is installed in around 150 buildings every week, according to Brighton-based Paxton.

Ela-soft, which was founded in 1990, is a specialist in manufacturer-neutral management systems for security, building and communication technology. With over 700 different proprietary interfaces and more than 600 installations GEMOS is the leading security information management system in the German market.

“It was a natural progression for us to integrate Paxton’s Net2 access control software into our GEMOS PSIM platform,” says Normen Wollmann, CEO of ela-soft. “We both operate in security critical environments where the protection of people and assets is vital.

“Access control events with Net2 can now be easily viewed via the GEMOS platform, helping us to offer an even better solution to our customers.”

Says Gareth O’Hara, Paxton’s chief sales officer: “At Paxton, we develop innovative solutions that represent the company’s ethos of simplicity and quality, whilst answering the needs of the security market.

“It’s a pleasure to be working with ela-soft, a company who place as much importance as we do on innovation, to offer customers a solution they have been asking for.”

The ela-Soft integration is the latest in a series of Net2 integrations announced by Paxton.
