Suprema has launched a new series of fingerprint-embedded modules with a 1GHz processor for a wide range of applications, from access control to IoT.
The SFM6000 range is capable of achieving speeds of up to 5,000 matches per second and can store up to 25,000 fingerprint templates. Suprema has also developed the series for easier integration within open source hardware platforms, including Arduino and Raspberry pi.

The SFM6000 series can be used for applications in harsh environments and the improved optical sensor structure provides IP65-rated ingress protection, whilst the operating temperature range is extended from -15℃ to 60℃.
SFM6000 Series also provides complete backward compatibility by maintaining SFM5000 and 3000s form factor and sensor types, allowing existing customers to access the improved benefits of SFM6000 Series fingerprint modules.
