Dates have been confirmed for a counter terror course featuring suicide bombings, soft targets and active shooters.The UK Certified Counter Terrorism Practitioner (CCTP) programme will take place from Tuesday 6 to Thursday 8 February 2018.
The CCTP programme, which concludes with an exam, covers best practice and lessons learnt, real-life applications and syllabus overview.
The course chief instructor is Samuel Bashan, the former head of Israel Security Authority’s Bomb Security department. Samuel, who served in the IDF and Secret Service for over 20 years and as member of the government VIP protection unit, is an expert in bomb security and preventive sabotage and was for many years the department head in that field.
As chief instructor, he has trained hundreds of Israeli security officers stationed in Israel and abroad.
The CCTP credential serves as proof of knowledge and expertise in terrorism, prevention, detection and deterrence. The final exam assesses knowledge of 14 main areas of the counter terrorism field.

Participation on the course is subject to a minimum university degree and at least two years’ experience in the security, law enforcement or military field – unless the person instead has relevant experience in the field of security, law enforcement or military with at least five years executive or management role and/or responsibility if you do not have a relevant degree.
The course fee is $1700 inclusive of morning and afternoon refreshments and lunch. Accommodation and any transportation to and from the venue is not included in the fee.
