Learning lessons from the London 2012 Olympics

by David Rubens

In this IFSEC Academy presentation David Rubens discussed the security issues overcome by the London 2012 Olympics, including his 3 Golden Rules:

Academy - Learning Lessons from Olympics

  • There is no such thing as a ‘Random Attack’. An attack is a process, not an event.
  • The earlier that you are aware of a potential problem the more options you have to deal with it, the lower level your response, the safer you are
  • The attacker is looking for the target that offers greatest opportunity for success. We can’t affect the motivation but we control the opportunity
