What is it? Protectowire CTI, about which you can learn more at FIREX International between 16-18 June, is a confirmed temperature initiation linear heat detector.
Among the features are short circuit fault discrimination and the ability to confirm temperature at the alarm point; two distinct heat sensing technologies; and confirmed temperature initiation for significant immunity to nuisance alarms
The product is available in five alarm temperatures and withstands a wide range of environmental conditions.
How is it innovative?
Using patented multi-criteria detection technology the CTITM Linear Heat Detection System offfers the highest immunity to false alarms on the market, according to its manufacturer.

ASD 535 by Patol Ltd
What is it? Patol will be using Firex International as the first opportunity to introduce to the market the extension of their existing product offering to include aspirating smoke detection (ASD), following the announcement of a new agreement with Securiton.
Patol will be distributing the ASD 535 detector in the UK for Securiton, part of the Swiss Securitas Group. This will burnish Patol’s expertise as a top designer and supplier of specialist fire detection products for industrial applications.
Patol will also show visitors its new range of linear heat detection cables (LHDC), which can detect fire at extremely high temperatures.
How is it innovative? Asd 535, which comes in four versions, boasts five levels of alarm and can be configured as full display or reduced configured for either a one or two channel unit with two individual sensors.

Talentum Flame detector by FFE
What is it? FFE has developed a bespoke flame detector to protect a pilot attempting to break the landspeed record in South Africa next year.
Working in conjunction with Bloodhound SSC, the team behind a car capable of travelling more than 1000mph, FFE has been developing the ultrafast Talentum flame detector over the past six months.
Should be ready to show visitors to FIREX next month and for runway trials later this year.
How is it innovative? Made from a robust, glass-fibre reinforced synthetic material the Talentum Flame Detector has been customised specifically to protect the daredevils attempting to reach record-breaking landspeeds.
