FIA webinar: Is there a skills crisis in the fire industry?

The Fire Industry Association (FIA) and IFSEC Global can reveal details of a forthcoming webinar, which takes place at the end of May, analysing results of an FIA survey on the ongoing skills crisis in fire engineering.

Illustrating the poll of fire-sector firms with several charts, the presenter, FIA CEO Ian Moore, will consider recent hiring activity, hiring plans, and the industry’s enthusiasm (or lack thereof) for helping young people into the fire industry, among other things.

He will also unveil the FIA latest plan’s for addressing the skills shortage, including updates on the fire alarm engineering qualification launched last year and his thoughts on developing a clear career pathway.

The webinar takes place 31 May between 11am-12pm.
