This time the event – which is free to attend – will take place at Doncaster Racecourse. Doncaster is one of the oldest (and in terms of physical capacity, largest) established centres for horse racing in Britain, with records of regular race meetings going back to the 16th century.
Organised by the Fire Industry Association (FIA), FIM Expo features many of the UK’s leading fire detection and alarm manufacturers and focuses on showcasing the latest products and developments in this sector of the industry.
The FIA will also be hosting a free seminar at the Expo. The seminar will outline the changes to BS 5839-1:2017. There will be two sessions on the day one in the morning and one in the afternoon to make sure all delegates will have a chance to attend.

The FIA is a not-for-profit trade association promoting professional standards in the UK fire safety industry.
The Association was formed in April 2007 out of a merger between two longstanding and well-respected trade associations, FETA (Fire Extinguishing Trade Association) and BFPSA (British Fire Protection Systems Association).
