Watch this Dummy get Destroyed by Fireworks in Seconds

Firefighters have released footage demonstrating the destructive potential of fireworks that were .

In the video, which you can watch below, a dummy is comprehensively torn apart by ‘onion bomb’ fireworks that have been discovered lying abandoned on a pavement in Gorton, Manchester.

The blast was so powerful that onlookers would have to be at least 25 metres away to be safe, said the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service.

Fire chiefs have urged anyone who finds any more stray fireworks in Manchester to hand them in to the fire brigade.

“Thanks to the vigilance of our staff these fireworks are in a safe place, but the boxes were open and we fear some of them may have been taken,” said Assistant county fire officer Geoff Harris.

“They are very large and very powerful explosives. The consequences for any young people, who may have taken these fireworks and decide to light them, don’t bear thinking about.”

“Whoever dumped these fireworks at the side of the road in a residential area is incredibly irresponsible.

“We want everyone to have a safe and fun Bonfire Night, but fireworks like this have no place in the hands of young people.

“If you want to see large fireworks explode do it safely at an organised event – you can find out where your nearest one is at www.safe4autumn.com.”
