After extensive consultation with a panel of judges from across the industry, we are delighted to reveal our roll call of the Top 50 influencers in security & fire 2017: Security management, education and thought leadership (UK and international).
You can meet and greet with some of the influencers over drinks at IFSEC International 2017, held in association with the BSIA. This networking event takes place between 14:30-15:30 in the Security Management Theatre on day three, 22 June. IFSEC takes place at London ExCeL between 20-22 June 2017. Get your free badge now.
The BSIA is also celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. It’s a trio of 50s because we’ve also designed a graphic featuring all influencers based on the cover of the Beatles’ seminal Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album, which also celebrated its 50th anniversary last month.
We’ve also added a special ‘lifetime of influence’ tribute in recognition of the enormous contribution to the industry of Mike Tennent, founder of Tavcom Training, who sadly passed away last month.
Among the judges for this category was James Willison BA, MA, MSyI. A big thanks to James, a security convergence and ESRM specialist and founder of Unified Security Ltd, for his insightful and substantial contribution. James is speaking, with Sarb Sembhi of Virtually Informed, on 20 June at IFSEC International 2017 about ‘How vendors can support ESRM and CSM strategies’ between 14:00-14:40 in the Borders & Infrastructure Theatre. The next day (21 June) he is presenting, alongside Steven Kenny of Axis Communications, on ‘What security managers need to know about cybersecurity’, between 13:30-13:55 in the Security Management Theatre. Willison and Sembhi have co-written a white paper on the same subject that you can download here.
