What’s on at IFSEC International today?

IFSEC International returns to the London’s ExCeL for the first time in three years this week, alongside it’s co-located shows, FIREX, Safety & Health Expo, Facilities Show and Intelligent Building Europe, and there are plenty of events to see, new tech to get your hands on, and catch ups to have. Here’s what on the agenda today for security professionals to check in on!

Thursday 19th May at IFSEC International

The final day of IFSEC International 2022 kicks off today, with doors opening at 10:00 once more. It’s been a fantastic couple of days already, but there’s still more to see today – as well as new products to see and colleagues to catch up with, of course!

The final sessions of the Engineers of Tomorrow competition will be taking place all day, so head over to the stand to witness the next generation of engineering talent in the fire and security sectors taking part in a live installation challenge. Winners will go on to compete at WorldSkills UK, and today’s participants will be Alexander Wallace, James McGeough, Jonny Hamilton, Paul Mcelroy, Daniel Colligan, Cody Moody, Mathew Blair, Bradley Stevens, James Curry, Sam Donna and Jordan Butler. Good luck to all!

Want to know more about the value in unifying physical and cyber security to combat 21st century threats? Head over to the Converged Security Centre and speak to experts on the theatre. This year’s headline PSIM partner is Advancis, while they’ll also be joined by consultants James Willison and Sarb Sembhi, as well as partners including Kaseware, Samsung Electronics and VuWall. An exclusive demonstration of a converged security centre in action will be taking place at 11:00, as the team showcase a unique integration with SCADA analytics to show how a platform can respond to an industrial or manufacturing installation showing signs of trouble.

Today’s LPCB Attack Testing Zone sessions will play host to products from Frontier Pitts (11:30), Jacksons Fencing (11:30) and CLD Fencing (13:00) being put up to the test to showcase the benefits of using approved physical security products.

Meanwhile, the BSIA will be an announcing the launch of its Cybersecurity Product Assurance Group’s (CySPAG), cybersecurity self-declaration and registration scheme for manufacturers, based on the BSIA’s cybersecurity Code of Practice at 11AM on its stand (IF2850).

And don’t forget to head to the SSAIB Installer Bar for a drink and catch up with the official IFSEC Installer Partner!
