There could hardly be a better place on which the global security and fire industry could descend; India is the only major economy enjoying a “clear pick-up in growth momentum“, according to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development.

“India has become a really exciting market for the security industry as the Indian government has declared its intentions to revamp the country’s infrastructure by building 100 Smart Cities across the nation,” says newly appointed editor of IFSEC Global India Ankush Kumar.

“I’m delighted to be joining the IFSEC Global team at this time to cover its development.”

Previously the editor of India Security World, Kumar is already highly experienced in the Indian security market and boasts an array of influential contacts.

Luke Bilton, director of digital & content, UBM Live London, says:

“In the same way that IFSEC live events are internationally renowned, IFSEC Global.com provides an international audience of security professionals with daily news and insight throughout the year.

“We are delighted to be working with Ankush and the UBM Asia team on this initiative as it gives us a ready-made infrastructure to launch from. Web traffic from India already represents the third largest region for IFSEC Global.com so we are looking forward to growing this audience further.”
