INSTALLER TRAINING

Texecom Academy launched with Tavcom Training backing

Texecom has enlisted the help of Tavcom Training to provide online courses that help installers to understand Texecom systems and how to run their business.

Texecom Academy will begin with two courses relevant both to new entrants to the security industry and those unfamiliar with Texecom equipment: a BTEC Level 3 course in perimeter and intruder alarms and a free ‘bitesize’ course on detection devices.

“We’re excited to be working with Texecom to deliver our BTEC Level 3 course in perimeter and intruder alarm BTEC course,” said Andrew Saywell, head of sales at Tavcom Training. “Together we will ensure the training syllabus perfectly matches the real world needs of the professionals who design, install, commission and service these systems.”

Said Wayne Foster, technical services manager at Texecom: “Over time we’ll be adding more technical training courses, but also training to benefit every aspect of a professional security installation business, from sales, marketing, regulatory, conformance, right through to our perspective on future trends.”

Texecom, which has offices in China and India, has also created a course tailored to the regulatory, technical and commercial requirements of firms operating in India.

Texecom offers bespoke training at its head office in Lancashire as well as other venues across the UK. Whether unfamiliar with Texecom products and services or simply in need of a refresher course, installers can find out about the benefits and programming techniques of Texecom’s Premier Elite systems, Ricochet mesh network wireless signalling and Texecom Cloud Services.

Installers who complete training courses will receive a certificate.

Texecom is showcasing Texecom Cloud, TexecomPro and Texecom Connect at IFSEC International 2019, taking place 18-20 June 2019 at ExCeL London (stand IF2210). Book your free ticket now.
