The 100 in 100 Apprenticeship Scheme set up by CSL Dualcom has now placed more than 1,800 apprentices into careers in the security industry.
Backed by UBM Live the scheme, through which businesses can receive up to £1,500 towards training costs from the government, has now seen another two apprentices joining the four already working for CSL Dualcom.
Alex Papayianni joins us as an apprentice developer and Paras Patel as an infrastructure engineer on the 25-strong team supporting the DualCom Gemini Managed Network, which protects premises throughout Europe and handles more than one billion calls each month.
The team works closely with the technical support desk, harnessing real-time network feeds to identify potential issues and notify our customers proactively.
Anup Sharma also joins as software developer and Graham Clarke as another infrastructure engineers.
CSL DualCom founded the 100 in 100 Apprenticeships initiative in 2011 and have long been advocates for the benefits of employing apprentices – not least their enthusiasm, readiness to embrace the latest technology and cost-effectiveness as employees. CSL also supports graduate employment and in the last two years alone has hired nine graduates.
David Cameron recently sent the company, which is the UK’s leading supplier of intruder-alarm dual-signalling devices, a personal letter: “Apprenticeships are an important way of giving young people the chance to reach their potential, giving them what it takes to get a good job and helping them to secure finances in the year ahead,” wrote the Prime Minister.
