PRESTIGIOUS AWARD

Paxton named in The Sunday Times 100 best companies to work for

IP access control pioneer Paxton has been named in The Sunday Times 100 best companies to work for – the only security company to make the 2018 list.

The Brighton-based company, which also develops building automation systems, debuted at 49 in this year’s rankings.

Run by the ‘Best Companies’ organisation, the Sunday Times rankings recognise organisations that demonstrably value their employees and provide an enjoyable, rewarding working environment.

Paxton was admitted to the prestigious list based on glowing feedback provided by Paxton employees around categories like their manager, team and company as a whole, opportunities for personal growth, wellbeing, getting a ‘fair deal’ and ‘giving something back’.

Working for Paxton in numbers

  • 96% of staff believe they can make a valuable contribution to the success of the company
  • 93% agree the organisation is run on strong values and principles
  • 90% of people feel proud to work for Paxton

“We’re absolutely delighted to feature on the best companies to work for list,” said Adam Stroud, Paxton’s CEO. “This is the first time we have entered, so to appear at number 49 is a fantastic achievement.”

“We’ve worked hard to develop a positive company culture.” Adam Stroud, CEO, Paxton

“This is a wonderful milestone in Paxton’s journey, it embodies our ambition to be world-class in all that we do, encompassing everything from our products and services, to our working environment. We’ve worked hard to develop a positive company culture and to support our staff on each step of their career with us.

“Due to the rapid expansion and year on year business growth, over the last two decades, three years has been the average time taken for Paxton to double in size. We’re now a sizeable company with over 300 employees and the incredible growth rate continues stronger than ever.

“However, while hard work, focus, investment and a good strategy are essential to the success of the company, most important by a long way are the people that work for Paxton.  I’d like to thank all of the Paxton team, they have been responsible for our success to date, and will continue to determine the extent of our future successes.”

More accolades

Paxton has also ranked in the FT1000, the Financial Times’ compilation of Europe’s fastest growing companies, and the London Stock Exchange’s 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain. It has won a Sussex Super Growth Award, Best Large Company at the Brighton and Hove Independent Business Awards and Manufacturer of the Year at the Eastbourne Business Awards.

The company has 300 employees based in offices in the UK, US, France, Germany, South Africa, Scandinavia, the Middle East and Benelux.

Paxton solutions like the Net2 door entry system and the access control, IP video management and building automation system Paxton10 are installed in 25,000 buildings a year globally.

Notable Paxton projects include Manchester United, graze, Michelin, Cherbourg Airport, Boucheries Nivernaises, Sky Deutschland and Foyles.

Paxton recently opened a state-of-the art facility that houses a training suite and its R&D departments.
