I welcome any extra technology or monitoring of safety in residential properties.
I offer the following comments:
How many landlords or their agent are sited very close to ALL their properties?
How quickly could any additional worthwhile action be taken before the fire service arrived?
If a larger HMO (which would have a grade A / LD2) has such a system, fire doors could be on hold open devices to prevent door wedging.

Thanks for your comments Mike,i have only just been pointed to your reply. We have been heavily involved with local authority and HMO organisations that are looking to manage their properties more studiously than before.Ie,reducing the Fire Brigade calm outs on false alarms where they are receiving heave fines. Also we are involved with councils that are spending Millions on a waking watch strategy for cladded buildings post Grenfell. That has allowed our Multi Watch to become an automated Waking watch without the added monthly costs of man power. Our idea is having one or two people per four blocks… Read more »
