State of Physical Access Trend Report 2024

MITIE announces strategic partnership with SSS Managed Services

The partnership, which commenced at the beginning of May following a six-month trial, will enable MITIE to expand its services to businesses looking to combine the installation and maintenance of their CCTV and access control systems with real-time remote monitoring, access and egress control and CCTV patrol capabilities.

As part of the agreement, MITIE will relocate its existing remote monitoring activities to SSS’ state-of-the-art Communications Centre in Bristol, providing MITIE’s clients with access to improved stability in operating platforms and enhanced monitoring performance.

The partnership will also see the two companies developing a new and integrated response service which will combine SSS’ alarm receiving capabilities with the dedicated national response service which MITIE launched in April. Clients of both organisations will benefit from access to a single package that comprises both alarm receiving and response.

To further enhance this, SSS will progressively take over responsibility for the despatching and controlling of MITIE’s response team when on the road, reducing response times still further.

Integrated approach to security

Jeff Flanagan, managing director at MITIE’s security business, told info4security: “Our partnership with SSS reinforces our commitment to provide customers with a more integrated approach to the protection of their people and property. The partnership will enhance our capabilities in both electronic security and response, and we very much look forward to working with SSS to jointly grow our service portfolios in the future.”

Paul Burchfield, the managing director of SSS, added: “As a service provider we are always looking at ways in which the service delivery to our client base can be improved. We strongly believe that by combining the abilities of monitoring and response through this partnership with MITIE, enhanced service levels will be available to our clients in a number of key areas.”
