State of Physical Access Trend Report 2024

Siemens releases new version of SiPass Entro system

Amongst the new features are: the ability to design and print personalized photo ID cards; full compatibility with Windows Terminal Server; enhanced flexibility in configuring common alarm outputs and the addition of another language (Portuguese), bringing the total number of languages supported to thirteen.

Also a new RoHS compliant SR35i controller (replacing the existing SR34i) has been introduced.

There is backwards compatibility right through to the MP 4.7 release of SiPass Entro.

The visual template design tool within the new version allows personalised access cards/badges to be easily produced via standard Windows printer drivers, with the capacity to also create receipts for signature by the cardholder upon issuing of the card.

The existing Windows Server 2003 compatibility has been further enhanced with support for Windows Server 2008, meaning that a wider range of operating systems are now supported, including Windows Vista.

The SiPass Entro software can manage up to 10,000 sites, each with the capacity for up to 512 doors, 40,000 cardholders, 480 access groups, 240 time schedules, 240 zones with five different functions – alarm control, anti-passback, roll call, entrance limitations and interlock, 64 reservation objects, 192 floors elevator control, 16 Sistore DVRs, and 128 cameras.

The new version of the system will be available from March onwards in the UK.
