Three new management faces for Allcooper

Skinner, Franks and Phelps have been taken on to perform the roles of service centre manager, installation manager and project manager, respectively.

Skinner and Franks will also sit within the senior management team that has been formed by the Gloucester-based company to run and enhance its day-to-day operations.

Skinner comes to Allcooper from a telecommunications background. His aptitude for service delivery and support will be used to efficiently manage the Service Centre at Allcooper, and the 20 staff that operate within it, the company says.

With over 20 years’ employment under his belt, including several as an engineer, Skinner is practised at finding workable solutions to any issues that arise, whether they relate to technical or procedural problems.

In his spare time Skinner is a keen beekeeper, with an apiary that consists of no less than 30 strong hives.

Years of experience
Installation manager Franks has over 25 years’ experience in the electronic security sector, after starting his career as an electrical apprentice in his home county, Surrey. He has efficiently managed regional branches of national security companies and ensured the timely completion of many high-value projects to provide integrated security solutions.

Father to an eight-year-old son, Franks will be overseeing a national team of engineers and in-house support staff at Allcooper, to give customers a seamless experience when it comes to the installation of their systems.

Like Franks, Phelps also has considerable technical expertise, gained over 20 years plus in the electronic security trade. Through various roles at all of the major industry players, Phelps has fitted and maintained intruder, access control and CCTV equipment in a broad range of commercial and domestic premises, including royal residences.

Larger installations
As project manager at Allcooper, Phelps will be responsible for overseeing the coordination of larger installation works across the country. Phelps’ hobbies include building and repairing computers.

Allcooper CEO Roman Cooper said: “We have always invested in capable staff and first-class training for them, but we appreciate that to develop the business further, we need more hands on deck.

“So far this year, we have increased our workforce by ten per cent, including the recruitment of experienced managers such as Stuart, Bruce and Dave, and we still have a number of vacancies to fill.

“It is an exciting time for the business and the recent appointments we have made, mean we are now well on our way to having the right people on board to deliver our ambitious plans for the future.”
