The software, which consists of automatic number plate recognition and has had Home Office Type Approval, has been designed to watch road speed on motorways, town and city centres or local short distance speed enforcement outside schools and colleges.
How it works
The system can be linked to up to 1,000 cameras, with information on speeds, licence plate and time being sent to a main server for analysis.
The SpeedSpike server has been designed to compute the average speed of every vehicle detected at every site and compare it with the enforcement speed to detect violations.
