The Standards Development team at Skills for Security has been working with security managers and industry representatives who work in cash processing operations to review the National Occupational Standards (NOS) for these sectors.
A statement from Skills for Security said: “It is now time for wider consultation on the changes that have been made and practitioners in these two sectors are invited to have their say.
“This is an important part of the review process and all comments will go back to the advisory working groups for consideration.
“Please visit the Skills for Security website then click on the banner for NOS consultation to view the draft suites of NOS with their supporting documentation and to complete the online questionnaire.
“Both suites of NOS are out for consultation until Friday 28th October.
“In addition, there are two surveys in progress to review the qualifications for Security Managers and the Mechanical Fire Protection Systems sector.
“The views of large and small companies alike will be welcome to help determine the future qualifications for these sectors.
“These surveys need to be completed by Friday 7th October and can be accessed via the ‘What’s happening?’ menu on the website home page.”
