IFSEC is huge!  If you are an equipment supplier to the wider security industry and you didn’t at least attend IFSEC then you have missed the event of the year. I think its proximity to CTX 13 may have reduced the attendance by many of the more CT focused companies but there was certainly no shortage of alarms, cameras, entry barriers, IP Solutions, electronics and marketing hype from a London Bus to the Videcon girls in their spray on cat suits and stand numbers stencilled to their bottoms.  The free information and training sessions were on the whole well organised… Read more »

Thanks for your review of the show Philip. Was it your first, or are you a seasoned IFSEC veteran? I think you’re right about the predictiv analysis of threats, and I can’t say for sure whether this was in evidence or not at the show, though I didn’t get a chance to spend as much time in the seminars as I wanted to. The shows always seem to have trends from year to year and that wasn’t this year’s trend. Instead, I felt a lot of the tech on show was about improvements in usability and functionality rather than out-and-out… Read more »
