Intelligent Buildings Theatre at IFSEC International 2013 Praised

Praise for Cortech Developments following IFSEC International 2013 has been welcomed by the company’s director.

Cortech sponsored the Intelligent Buildings Theatre at this year’s exhibition. The theatre attracted large numbers of consultants, integrators, manufacturers, and end users, who listened to a host of speakers representing a hugely impressive lineup of organisations from both the UK and overseas.

Mark Thomas, Cortech director, told us:

We were delighted with how well the theatre was supported, and the feedback from visitors we’ve spoken to has been hugely positive.
The Theatre provided a great platform for educating visitors regarding the benefits of managing buildings more intelligently while also providing a focal point for discussions around how this can be best achieved.

Cortech committed to sponsoring the Intelligent Buildings Theatre because it aligned perfectly with the organisation’s proposition of delivering holistic software solutions for smarter building performance.

Brian Sims, media solutions manager for UBM Live’s Security and Fire Portfolio, organised the conference programme and speakers. He told us:

Intelligent and smart buildings are commonly used terms within our industry, but as yet there appears to be no specific definition. What we do know is that, by integrating security, fire, energy, data, IP, facilities, and safety, you can manage buildings more efficiently and effectively.
During the show, we heard from a number of leading figures in the industry who talked about how their organisations are raising the bar in delivering smarter building performance. This challenges us all to think about how we manage our own infrastructures and buildings, and also how we make them more sustainable.
Cortech Developments offered an insight into the software solutions available in this arena. Visitors were able to gain a better understanding of how these can be used and the benefits they bring.
