integration news

ASSA ABLOY’s Aperio locks now integrate with Tyco access control systems

A technology partnership between ASSA ABLOY, which provides door locks, and Tyco Security Products has enabled the integration of Aperio wireless lock technology with Tyco’s security and event management system.

The integration ensures Aperio wireless RFID locks communicate with Tyco’s C-CURE 9000 via iSTAR Ultra door controllers.

Aperio locks have no need for additional wiring so can be installed in doors and entrances with little disruption to operations.

A link between iSTAR Ultra door controllers and an Aperio wireless hub enables the locks to communicate directly with C-CURE 9000, which is updated in real-time to ensure control of and visibility of activities at doors and entrances at all times. AES 128-bit encryption ensures data security.

Rafael Schrijvers, access control product marketing manager, EMEA, for Tyco Security Products, says: “C-CURE 9000 and Aperio wireless locks are increasingly being specified to work together on a wide range of security projects. The deep level of integration achieved between the two technologies will ensure systems integrators will now find it much easier to implement a combined solution.”

A similar level of integration has already been achieved between ASSA ABLOY’s Aperio and Tyco Security Products’ Kantech Entrapass and CEM AC2000 access control software.

Software House security and event management systems from Tyco Security Products are part of Johnson Controls, a global technology and industrial firm. Software House’s C-CURE software portfolio works with various reliable controllers to provide security and event management.
