ASSA ABLOY launch

ASSA 900 electronic strikes promise heavy duty performance

A new range of high strength electric strikes has been unveiled by Assa Abloy.

The Assa 900 series of strikes is compatible with the company’s Modular and Connect lockcases, and are designed to deliver a high strength, high performance combination for doors that undergo extreme usage, or that are situated in high security areas.

The ‘high strength’ 900 to 920 variants can withstand heavy day-to-day demands, and are capable of providing a holding force of up to 1000kg/10kN.

The highest strength 960 and 961 variants offer what are described as “extreme” levels of holding force of up to 1500kg/15kN – greater than the weight of a family hatchback.

Flexible, straightforward

Suitable for access control locking on aluminium, steel or wooden doors, the ASSA 900 series is offered with dual voltage, supporting 12-24V AC/DC. All faceplates are available in a stainless steel finish and are compatible across the whole range.

The result, says Assa Abloy, is a more flexible and straightforward solution, reducing the number of parts needed to be stocked.

CE marked and with a five-year guarantee, the strikes meet BS EN 14846, the new standard for electro-mechanically operated locks and striking plates. Fire rated models are also available.

“High strength and unique compatibility with our high performance ASSA Modular and Connect lockcases is the main advantage to this new range,” said Nojmol Islam, category product manager at Assa Abloy. “The built-in, pre-load technology enables doors to operate even with pressures exerted by door seals, air flow and misaligned doors.

“These benefits – backed by a five-year guarantee, the latest certification, reliability and flexibility around installation – offer unrivalled performance and guaranteed peace of mind for end users.”

ASSA ABLOY is exhibiting at IFSEC International, 19-21 June 2018, ExCeL London. You can find them on stand F320. Register now.
