ASSA ABLOY, the global leader in door opening solutions, has unrivalled integration and global capabilities, demonstrated through the collective strength of its brands and technologies across a wide variety of projects.

ASSA ABLOY recognises the need to nurture technological development that is deliverable and accessible for all types of customer and end user applications, which is why it’s a strong advocate for open communication platforms, and the increased flexibility this can provide.

ASSA ABLOY brands have a proven track record of supplying access solutions across an array of end user markets, including commercial, education, health, transport, telecoms, retail, utilities and residential sectors. On a global level, in excess of 100 leading access control OEMs have integrated an ASSA ABLOY product or solution.

ASSA ABLOY recently used its integration capabilities in the education sector, to supply Access Control’s Aperio® locking solution to student accommodation at the University of Aberdeen. Aperio® is a cost-effective, high quality solution designed to upgrade mechanically locked doors and wirelessly connect them online or offline to new or existing access control systems, with minimal modification to doors and premises.

Demonstrating the group’s capabiliites in the hospitality sector, Mul-T-Lock supplied its stylish SMARTair access control handles to the 250-year-old White Hart Hotel in Harrogate, allowing for multiple user cards and fobs to be added to enhance security measures, and upgrade without the need for a complete replacement.

Showcasing the group’s key management control solutions, Traka recently installed two L-Series key cabinets at Twickenham Stadium ahead of the 2015 World Cup. This product allows automatic tracking of who has taken which key and when it has been returned and can be integrated with any ASSA ABLOY access control systems.

Chris Bone, Vice President of Access Control Solutions EMEA at ASSA ABLOY, said: “As the Internet of Things continues to gather pace, we see security as an integral part of this trend and crucial to the future and professionalisation of the industry.

“One of the biggest threats to the security industry is not the failure to recognise this, but the inability to provide products that allow everyone access to the best in this field of technology.

The collective power of our brands and the combined breadth of our products and solutions provide flexibility; demonstrating why so many end users and OEMs choose to work with ASSA ABLOY.

“We have a history of developing and delivering products across a range of different sectors. Put simply, the combination of our brands’ portfolios and our unparalleled market capability is an advantage for any organisation who require an integrated security solution.”
