AUCSO Annual Conference

Traka to showcase key management innovations to university campus market

Traka is presenting its latest key and asset management systems at a forthcoming conference dedicated to making university campuses safer for students, staff and contractors.

Taking place between 2-4 April at Aston University in Birmingham the AUCSO conference will feature the latest innovations and best practice around security at universities, colleges and institutions of higher and further education.

Traka, which is part of the ASSA ABLOY group of brands, will demo its S-Series electronic key cabinet, which restricts access, to authorised users, to buildings, facilities, secure areas and equipment. Visitors can also check out Traka’s key management system, which simplifies key management and provides a full, compliant audit trail of keys and users.

With members in 17 countries AUCSO – the Association of University Chief Security Officers – represents security professionals working in universities, colleges and institutions of higher and further education in the UK and beyond.

You’ll have another chance to see the latest innovations from Traka at IFSEC 2019 in June.

“Traka has experience in delivering tailored key and asset management systems with full audit trail capability.” Wayne Kynaston, Traka

“Good security on campus not only helps to prevent crime but also contributes to a positive image for any higher educational facility,” said Wayne Kynaston, Traka UK sales manager. “It is the responsibility of all to create a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

“Traka has proven experience in delivering tailored key and asset management systems with full audit trail capability, that can instantly integrate into day to day life of security teams. AUCSO’s annual conference is the perfect opportunity to demonstrate our true capability directly to key buyers and influencers and discuss individual requirements to ensure compliance with current regulations.”

Traka will also showcase its modular lockers, which can manage specialist equipment like body-worn cameras, which are increasingly popular in the education sector as a means to protect staff and capture video footage of incidents.

“The use of body-worn camera technology within the education sector is fast becoming a common solution to both act as a deterrent and improve accountability and transparency,” said Kynaston. “To serve to their optimum capability, they must be ready for use by authorised personnel.

“Here, Traka is looking forward to AUCSO to show how our solutions can make an instant difference to their storage and availability, for ultimate peace of mind to staff and students.”
