Award-winning emergency lighting system unveiled
Hochiki Europe used International Firex to launch its addressable emergency lighting system, which also won the best means of escape product category at the Fire Excellence Awards held during the show.
Firescape is described as an intelligent, low voltage system that uses LED technology. It comprises a control panel and a series of plug-in emergency light luminaires and signs for escape corridors and open area applications.
Hochiki says the system provides a cost-effective and energy-efficient solution that uses less than 5% or the carbon emissions of fluorescent lighting.
Commenting on the award, managing director of Hochiki Europe, Tomoki Ikeda, said:
“I am absolutely delighted to receive this award on behalf of all of my colleagues at Hochiki and our technical partners at Hedengren Security, who have worked so hard to produce this truly revolutionary life safety product. By combining energy efficiency and a reduced total cost of ownership, Firescape is the perfect solution for the modern environment.”
Hochiki also launched its fully integrated radio-based fire detection system, a new infrared flame detector, and a new range of input/output modules.
