Electro-optics experts HGH are showcasing their new ‘Mobile Deployment Kit’ for special forces at IFSEC 2019.
The brand is well-known for their 360° SPYNEL thermal sensors, used for security and defence applications.
The SPYNEL-M sensor is the most compact and lightweight of the HGH SPYNEL range. The thermal camera is used by special forces for temporary protection of a perimeter during a mission, before an intervention, or to secure the visit of a VIP.
SPYNEL-M measures 4×7 inches, and weighs 5lbs: a key feature for special forces, usually deployed far from their rear operational bases. They must remain highly mobile while transporting technologies that are often heavy and cumbersome.
To continuously improve their solutions, HGH recently launched SPYNEL-M’s new Mobile Deployment Kit. The kit includes a battery enabling autonomy for several hours in operation, a rugged tablet and a wifi connection
Stephen Scopatz, General Manager at HGH’s American subsidiary, said : ‘’With this innovative kit, the soldiers directly receive alerts on their rugged tablet via a wireless link. It allows them to be mobile and to be assigned to other functions in parallel. Another strong point is the low bandwidth, which allows access to the camera from one or several remote control centers.’’
This innovation comes out soon after the release of the new CYCLOPE HYPERVISOR, enabling a remote monitoring of several spots secured by multiple SPYNEL sensors, on one single interface. HGH had recently promoted SPYNEL-M’s fast deployment in a video shared on their website. Another strength of the thermal sensor in the event of an unforeseen situation. Meet HGH at IFSEC London, June 18th to 20th, booth #IF2618
