Whitepaper: Enhancing security, resilience and efficiency across a range of industries

Edesix launches VideoTag body-worn camera series at IFSEC 2017

During IFSEC 2017, which took place recently, Edesix launched a range of new products designed to enhance security and the protection of staff.

Edesix’s VideoTag Series – encompassing the VT-100 and VT-50 – are the company’s smallest and most discreet incident recorders. They have been developed to deter aggression, protect staff and provide secure footage on demand that can be used as evidence.

The VideoTag products are designed for less frequent use than Edesix’s VideoBadge body worn cameras. They do not require extra training, can stream live footage, and have a standby battery-life of up to three months.

In addition the VideoTag series also provides complementary audio and video capture of incidents when used with a larger body worn camera and CCTV security function.

The VT-50 has been designed mainly for indoor use. Sectors the camera can be used in include aerospace, retail and education. The camera can record up to one hour of footage. The VT-100 is more robust and weatherproof, and can be used by lone workers, debt collectors, supermarket workers and some police officers. The VT-100 can record for up to two hours.

“The VideoTag Series provides another option in our armoury of body worn cameras, they are light-weight and completely unobtrusive, making them perfect for any uniform, and ideal for those looking to record on a less regular basis or to equip all staff with recording devices,” said Richie McBride, managing director of Edesix.
