Fire crews in South Auckland, New Zealand, battled over the weekend to put out a fire at an old freezing works site.
At its height, more than 120 firefighters and 30 appliances were used for the blaze on 14 May, according to New Zealand news website www.stuff.co.nz.
Two diggers were also used to clear rubble so that crews could get to deep-seated pockets of fire still burning the next day, it said. Incident controller Kerry Gregory told reporters that the fire had "spread across all four stores of an old cool store" and that they had managed to stop it from spreading to nearby businesses.
The building, which was unused, contained asbestos but health and safety officials said the factory was "well clear" of any residential areas. An investigation is underway.
