Aico gets into the groove to raise money for Red Nose Day

Neon colours, leg warmers and musical chairs were all on the agenda as Aico raised money for Red Nose Day and its associated charities on 18th March.

Aico-RedNoseDay-22Aico colleagues travelled back to the 80s, dressing in neon colours, leg warmers and as their favourite classic movie characters from iconic films of the decade, from Maverick to Marty McFly. Colleagues enjoyed a marathon of 80s music throughout the day and even took part in a competitive, but friendly, game of musical chairs.

The company says it supports Red Nose Day every year through its CSR programme, ‘Aico in Community’ which strives to deliver safer homes through engaging with communities and promoting best practice. This year, the 80s themed fundraiser saw colleagues raise over £250 for the cause.

Through Red Nose Day, Comic Relief aims to make a difference to the lives of millions of people across the UK and around the world. This year, the team has pledged to focus part of its efforts towards the ongoing situation in Ukraine as it supports civilians attempting to cross the border.

Marketing Executive, Matt Powell was in amongst the musical chairs action and added: “It is always good fun getting stuck into Aico’s fundraising days. Through Aico in the Community, fundraising and charity work has become second nature to myself and all my colleagues. It was great to see a wide range of outfits and especially entertaining seeing the competitive sides shine through during musical chairs.”
