Doncaster Racecourse, Exhibition and Conference Centre has installed Dorgard wireless fire door retainers to hold open its fire doors.
The installation follows a £34m re-development of the centre.
A spokesman from the racecourse said: "The Dorgards allow us to keep our fire doors open safely and legally, enhancing access and letting customers and staff move about easily without compromising fire safety. Installation also proved to be very easy with no disruption – a perfect solution."
Dorgard has been designed to listen for a continuous fire alarm of 65dBA or higher.
Features include a wireless unit, automatic night-time release facility and adjustable sensitivity.
