Bosch´s Modular Fire Panel 5000 Series has been selected to protect Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria, South Africa, one of the venues chosen for the upcoming football world cup.
A spokesman for the company said: “[the system’s] modular configuration allows for easy extension, smooth adaptation to country-specific regulations and conditions, complete set-up with up to 46 modules per control panel, and interconnection of up to 32 panel controllers and remote keypads.”
Installed by Aurecon Engineers and IFS (Integrated Fire & Security), the solution is able to interface with the stadium’s other security systems.
Stadium manager, Hugo Kemp, said: “The Bosch fire panel offers a number of advantages, one being its expandability in that it is able to cater for our immediate requirements while remaining flexible enough to expand as we require, without the need for additional panels to be installed.”
