Buildings are never at greater risk from fire or intruders than during construction and refurbishment. Developers and building contractors therefore need the assurance of effective round-the-clock security and fire protection systems. To meet this need, TVF has expanded its construction industry capability by launching a specialist construction team.
TVF’s construction team can advise and assist on many aspects of security and fire protection. Products and systems specified include:
– Radio fire alarm systems, which provide a unique and cost-effective method of temporary protection, and can be purchased or hired. The wire-free equipment can be installed, relocated or removed at a moment’s notice, either by one of the company’s engineers or on-site personnel.
– Rotary hand bells, which are ideal for alerting employees and visitors of an emergency where there is no electrical power, or where the power source has failed. The bell, which sounds at 60dB for up to 35 metres, is robust enough for any construction site and is suitable for internal and external areas alike.
– CCTV is an effective form of protection against intrusion and therefore an essential part of on-site security, acting as a deterrent to intruders. A wide range of easily-installed cameras are available.
