International Firex 2011 – free registration now open

A comprehensive and free seminar programme, a new passive fire protection zone, and the Fire Excellence Awards will be just some of the highlights at International Firex, registration for which is now open.

Taking place in Birmingham from 16-19 May, International Firex will host the Info4fire Learning Zone, supported by the Fire Industry Association. The learning zone will feature panel discussions and presentations on topics such as selecting competent fire risk assessors, enforcement and prosecution, the fire safety management standard BS9999, and the potential pitfalls of passive fire protection.

Other seminar sessions will include the fire protection of electrical equipment and water mist suppression systems.

New for 2011 will be the ASFP Passive Protection Zone, a combined demonstration and seminar area featuring best practice, products and services in built-in fire protection. With a strong emphasis on industry standards and approved installers, the Passive Protection Zone will provide visitors with access to industry experts and knowledge.

In addition to these feature areas, International Firex will be showcasing the latest products and services from over 120 exhibitors, covering detection and alarm systems, means of escape, extinguishing and suppression systems, and built-in fire protection.

International Firex takes place at the NEC Birmingham from 16-19 May and is conveniently located alongside IFSEC, Safety & Health Expo and the Facilities Show.
