Ballywalter Park in Northern Ireland has been fitted with a fire detection system by Detectomat.
Detectormat’s SRC 3000
Specified and installed by Eurotec, a total of 87 of Detectomat’s SRC 3000s were bought for the stately home.
A radio-linked detect solution, which is wireless, was chosen to avoid any hard wiring between units so that there was no impact on recently restored plasterwork, floors and ceilings.
The five-year project secured the house for the Mulholland family, who still live in the property, as well as visitors and film companies using the house to shoot period dramas.
The house also plays host to the Northern Ireland Game Fair, which attracts around 40,000 people over a weekend.
A spokesman from Detectomat said: “All is now completed and the family as well as bodies like the Heritage Trust and the Northern Ireland Tourist Board are delighted with the way the work has been carried out. So successful are the renovations that the house has featured in numerous TV period dramas.
“Eurotec and Detectomat are pleased to have played a part in the long journey towards perfection.”
