Passive fire protection resource hub launched by Rockwool

Rockwool’s new FIREPRO Hub features a collection of passive fire protection resources to support with the specification and installation of firestopping and fire resistance solutions.

Rockwool-FireproHub-21The new FIREPRO Resource Hub brings all materials that stakeholders might need into one place, ensuring they always have access to the latest information and guidance, explains the company.

A new version of the Rockwool FIREPRO Book is included, providing a catalogue of tested and certified passive fire protection solutions that cover applications such as structural protection, cavity firestops and building services protection. Within the guide, users will find information for each product in the range, including application and installation advice, testing data and relevant specification clauses.

Within the Resource Hub, users will also find a Firestopping Standard Details Pack, the latest CPD modules including topics such as effective compartmentation, and the FIREPRO Solutions Finder that aids specification through step-by-step questions, alongside case studies of the FIREPRO range in use.

“Passive fire protection is such a crucial part of building design, so we want to support those responsible for fire safety in specifying the best possible solutions for their project,” said Coral Morgan, Product Manager – HVAC & Fire at Rockwool. “As well as bringing everything they need into one place for quicker and easier specification, we’ve also updated our brochures and materials to make sure they are up-to-the-minute. This means users can be confident they are working with the very latest information and data.”

The FIREPRO range of passive fire protection products is said to provide firestopping and fire resistance throughout the building’s construction, ensuring the building and its occupants are safer in the event of a fire.
