Experience ROCKWOOL’s latest fire protection solutions at FIREX 2023

ROCKWOOL is showcasing its latest fire protection solutions at this year’s FIREX event (16 to 18 May 2023, London ExCeL). At stand FI.1640, ROCKWOOL will launch SP FireStop EN, fire stopping product and newest addition to the FirePro range of passive fire protection solutions, expanding the scope of application available from the range.

ROCKWOOL will also be previewing its upcoming FirePro Detail Designer, a new application designed to help specifiers and fire engineers access the correct ROCKWOOL standard details for their project.

SP FireStop EN features a black aluminium foil facing for higher emissivity and has a fire rating of EI120 in cavities up to 600mm (subject to application). Available in two thicknesses, it has undergone rigorous testing to confirm its suitability to the latest EN standards and can be used for a range of applications including with Steel Frame Substrates.

SP FireStop EN is part of ROCKWOOL’s FirePro range, which provides passive fire protection solutions for various applications, including penetration seals, linear gap seals, and cavity barriers. ROCKWOOL aims to offer insulation solutions that are both sustainable and energy-efficient and that ensure the highest level of fire certification.

ROCKWOOL will also be previewing the FirePro Detail Designer. The app is being developed to help users access the correct ROCKWOOL standard details by processing their project requirements and returning a chosen specification based on an existing, tested standard detail. This streamlined process is aimed at simplifying the manual review of ROCKWOOL standard details and helping specifiers and fire engineers select the most appropriate ROCKWOOL FirePro products for their needs.

During the event, ROCKWOOL is encouraging visitors to provide feedback on the upcoming interactive design tool, with feedback having an influence on the final product.

“FIREX is the ideal opportunity to showcase our latest passive fire protection solutions,” said Paul Barrett, Head of Product Management at ROCKWOOL UK.

“Our focus is always on investing in product development and improving our existing product portfolio. Our new SP FireStop EN is an enhancement of our range, with higher emissivity for suitability on a wider range of applications. The event is also a chance for attendees to be part of shaping the new FirePro Detail Designer tool into the solution they will find most useful.”

ROCKWOOL is committed to investing in product development and improving its existing product portfolio, and visitors to the booth will have a chance to witness this first hand. As part of a real wall build-up, visitors can explore the new SP FireStop EN alongside other FirePro fire stopping solutions. Passive fire protection experts from ROCKWOOL will be on hand to provide technical support to customers who have questions or need assistance.

Visitors to the stand can also discuss the range of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) training sessions offered by ROCKWOOL and book CPD training sessions on a variety of subjects.

You can find ROCKWOOL on stand FI. 1640 from 16-18 May at this year’s FIREX
