EN54 Part 13, which is a reliable benchmark for assessing fire system performance, is widely misunderstood and sometimes misrepresented, according to Advanced.
Advanced, one of the first companies in Europe to achieve compliance with Part 13, has produced an infographic and 1.5m wall chart that outlines the key issues you should be aware of.
The EN54-13 European standard ensures:
Optimal fire system performance at all times
That lives are protected in event of a fire
Peace of mind for the whole supply chain: specifiers, installers and end-users
The standard is only met after rigorous third-party testing, which establishes that individual component parts will work together when combined into one system. EN54-13 is mandatory in several European countries. Even where it is not mandated, it is a mark of system performance and reliability.
Advanced designs intelligent fire systems approved to key international, regional and local standards including UL 864 and EN54. Advanced products – which include complete fire detection systems, multi-protocol fire panels, extinguishing control and fire paging systems – are used in everything from single panel installations to large multi-site networks in numerous markets around the world.
