Speaking to IFSEC TV the Institute’s managing director says the scheme seeks to engage security professionals, rather than their employers, in their research and thought leadership projects.
David Thorp, who was appointed to the role of MD in 2014, also discusses the organisation’s history, the criteria for becoming a member, the changing nature of the industry and the Institute’s growing focus on providing career development for security professionals below the most senior levels.
With nearly 2,200 members the Security Institute is the largest membership organisation for security professionals in the UK.
