CCTV giant Hikvision UK & Ireland and cloud-based video surveillance brand Eagle Eye Networks have announced a technology partnership to strengthen network cyber-resilience.
Eagle Eye’s Camera Cyber Lockdown blocks cameras from communicating with the internet and in turn blocks attacks from reaching cameras, better protecting video surveillance systems.
“The Hikvision dealers in the UK are an extremely capable group of industry professionals and they’re very attentive to cyber security and GDPR compliance,” said Rishi Lodhia, Eagle Eye Networks’ Managing Director for EMEA. “The use of Hikvision cameras and Turbo recorders with Eagle Eye Networks’ cloud bridges and subscriptions is a future-proof marriage.”
While the Eagle Eye Cloud Security Camera VMS works with hundreds of manufacturer’s cameras, the Hikvision UK partnership provides a solution for customers who don’t have the IT resources to constantly monitor and address cyber threats entering their network through their surveillance system.
“Eagle Eye Networks is the leader in secure, cloud-based video surveillance solutions and the combination of our cameras with their cloud provides great scalability and price/performance.” Jens Berthelsen, Global Partner Alliance Manager, Hikvision Europe
Dean Drako, CEO and founder of Eagle Eye Networks, said: “We are pleased to expand our global relationship with Hikvision by partnering with Hikvision UK to serve customers in England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland seeking a more cyber-secure surveillance solution.”
“We are also excited about the partnership with Eagle Eye Networks”, said Jens Berthelsen, Global Partner Alliance Manager for Hikvision Europe. “Eagle Eye Networks is the leader in secure, cloud-based video surveillance solutions and the combination of our cameras with their cloud provides great scalability and price/performance.”
The ‘Preferred Technology Partnership’ announcement follows news that Hikvision USA and Eagle Eye Networks are integrating HD-TVI camera technology in to the Eagle Eye Cloud Security Camera VMS. This means that customers and channel partners can reduce operating costs by harnessing existing coaxial cabling when upgrading to HD video surveillance systems.
IFSEC International takes place between 19-21 June 2018, ExCeL London. Eagle Eye is exhibiting on stand E500 and Hikvision is exhibiting on stand D300.
