Hochiki Europe has launched FIREscape lite, a mains-powered emergency lighting solution with back-up power.
In common with other products in the FIREscape LED emergency lighting range, FIREscape lite is an energy-efficient, standalone product designed to offer flexibility during refurbishments and compliance with the latest fire standards, despite not requiring a control panel. It also benefits from automatic testing functions that alert building managers to performance issues.
The award-winning FIREscape range also includes energy-efficient LED luminaires, exit signs, I/O devices and compatible control panels.

‘Step-down’ transformer means product can be mains powered

Standalone lighting units can be placed anywhere within a building – as long as there is a mains lighting supply – which simplifiesinstallation process
Integral battery provides three hours of back-up power, in accordance with recommendations of British Standard (BS) 5266, to ensure luminaires and exit signs continue to function in the event of mains failure. Battery is trickle-charged only when internal diagnostics software senses a top up is required, meaning the unit is always prepared for a mains power outage
Bi-coloured status LED on each unit visually alerts building managers to maintenance issues such as LED or battery faults
What Hochiki Europe says
