Whitepaper: Enhancing security, resilience and efficiency across a range of industries

There’s been plenty of M&A activity in the fire and security sectors in recent years and Honeywell has been a prime mover.

The growing integration of different technologies and popularity of end-to-end solutions from a single vendor have helped to drive consolidation in these markets.

Honeywell acquired Xtralis, and therefore the VESDA range of aspirating smoke detectors, in 2016. VESDA therefore joined FAAST, a  manufacturer of fire detection devices for commercial applications, in the Honeywell stable.

IFSEC Global asked Martin Norris, sales leader for Advanced Detection at Honeywell, about how the two brands benefit from coexisting under the Honeywell brand.

This video is part of a six-part series – still to come:

  • VESDA-E VEA: What benefits addressability bring to aspirating detection
  • How analytics and CCTV work together to enhance smoke detection
  • What we can look forward to from Honeywell in the coming months
  • What USPs the Xtralis brand has over its competitors
  • Why has Xtralis been so successful at winning business

We’ll be releasing a chapter a week for the next five weeks.
