The National Security Inspectorate (NSI) is building on its four-decade long partnership with IFSEC, as the UK’s longest-running security event celebrates its 50th edition in May.
Throughout the three-day event taking place at ExCeL London on 16-18 May, NSI experts will once again be a major attraction for installers on stand IF.4250.
Visitors can ask questions about the latest industry standards and learn about the benefits of gaining certification with the UK’s trusted and respected certification body in the security and fire safety sectors.
For organisations interested in becoming certificated with NSI and improving business performance and customer satisfaction, NSI’s Director of Certification Services, Max Linnemann, will be hosting a session on the NSI stand on Wednesday 17 May at 11.30am. Here, he will explain the benefits of independent certification and the process involved.
NSI auditors will once again be part of the adjudicator team in the Engineers of Tomorrow competition for apprentice security and fire system installers which takes place throughout the three days.

Those with the highest scores will progress to the WorldSkills UK final in November with the overall winners announced at the prestigious Security & Fire Excellence Awards taking place on 4 December in London. NSI encourages all visitors to watch the engineers taking part in the competition and witness first-hand the skills of the industry’s future talent.
NSI Chief Executive Richard Fogelman commented: “NSI was one of the first organisations to support IFSEC in the early 1970s and with our alliance still strong decades later, we are delighted to once again support this popular event. Both IFSEC and NSI have stood the test of time through rapidly changing technological advancements, customer expectations, the evolution of industry standards and increasing collaboration between the public and private sector.
“We congratulate IFSEC on their 50th anniversary and look forward to this year’s exciting and progressive event.”
Part of the Protection and Management Series which includes FIREX International, the Facilities Show and the Safety & Health Expo, IFSEC is the go-to event for the integrated security industry, attracting 250+ exhibitors and thousands of security professionals.
A new feature at IFSEC this year is the Distributor Network, where bespoke distributor hubs will be on the show floor with leading distributors meeting and greeting the installer audience with invites to VIP sessions.
This year’s event brings together cutting-edge solutions, new technologies, live demo areas and topical seminars covering the biggest subjects affecting the security industry, including the transition to All IP and the introduction of Martyn’s Law – all under one roof.
