IFSEC South India 2011: Honeywell launches new innovations
Honeywell today announced its participation in IFSEC South India 2011, where the company is showcasing its latest innovations in IP surveillance management and modern smart homes. These solutions from Honeywell is expected to raise the bar for security, comfort and convenience in commercial and residential applications. IFSEC South India 2011, held in Bangalore 1st to 3rd June 2011, is India’s largest international exhibition for commercial, homeland security and fire technology. Honeywell will be exhibiting in booth number II B, Hall 1 at the show.

New Products & Solutions
The new products and solutions showcased this year include the end-to-end IP security management platform HUS3.1 together with a new Pioneer series IP cameras, the latest version Visitor Management System LobbyworksTM 4.0, HS-7000V 10.2-inch Home Gateway LCD Display Panel as well as a brand new TCP / IP based Video Door Phone System.
Honeywell Universal Surveillance (HUS) 3.1, the smart platform for IP security integration, comprises HUS XPRO, HUS XACT, and the new Pioneer Series IP cameras. This new edition represents a true end-to-end security solution with the front end composing a full range of IP cameras covering fixed dome, box camera, IR camera and PTZ, with high definition to 1.3 MP and full frame rate options.
The back end range includes Networked Video Recorders (NVR), a Video Central Management Server (VMS) as well as the video wall of viewing via a selection of network decoders. The performance of HUS 3.1 is strictly qualified by rigorous testing and validation, aiming to offer users a most reliable and cost effective IP solution.
In home automation control, Honeywell brings its latest innovation the HS-7000V 10.2-inch Home Gateway LCD Display Panel and the 2nd Generation Wireless Smart Lighting Control Series. The solution provides intelligent mobile control at home, in the office or on the go.
With just a fingertip tap of any Wi-Fi device like Apple’s iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, or any smart phone, PC or netbook, homeowners can control home temperature, ventilation, lighting, curtains, elevator and other home appliances, making life highly convenient and comfortable, while saving energy.
Another new innovation pre-launched by Honeywell on the show is the stylish TCP / IP based Video Door Phone System IS-6500 for high-end property complexes visitor management, security protection, intercom, message service and elevator control. The IS-6500, with its combination of modern luxury and simplicity, offers”Celebrity Gold” and “New Urban Silver”color options, an ultra-slim curve design, a flat vandal resistant glass panel, a single capacitive touch screen and a user-friendly graphical interface. It also offers high quality video identification and a micro SD card slot for plug & play. The IS-6500 can be easily integrated with other Honeywell smart home systems like the HS-7000V Home Gateway system, thus providing complex developers infinite possibilities of expandable intelligent community solutions.
Also on display this year is LobbyWorksTM 4.0, Honeywell’s innovation for commercial & office building visitor management, which acts as the first line of defense and security control. Having the ability to screen and track the large footfall on a day-to-day basis contributes substantially to the access management and safety of personnel and property.
With LobbyWorksTM 4.0, the user can enhance lobby and security desk productivity by scanning business cards or driver’s licenses to quickly register visitors and provide voice coaching to guide visitors during the registration process. It also captures photos for new visitors, and identifies returning visitors, thereby creating a bank of historical data for future use.
